Historic Mill House Renovation
Completed 2006
The Mill House was originally built in the late 1700’s along the West Aspetuck River in New Milford Connecticut. Taking advantage of a unique location and an unusual historic resource, we developed plans to largely gut the entire building to it’s original timber post and beam structure. Working with the existing structure and expanding on the foundation of an earlier addition, the house has been brought up to date. Working with the Owner to source historic components such as doors and materials, the design integrates these elements into a very comfortable weekend retreat for a family of 4.
